Yemen’s armed forces said they had neutralized around 336 Houthi fighters and commanders during ongoing military operations under the “Dawn of Yemen” offensive, Anadolu reports.
On US social media company X, military spokesman Col. Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili said government forces had carried out 1,087 strikes in recent hours using warplanes, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers.
He said the strikes targeted Houthi command and control centers, troop concentrations, reinforcements, firing positions, fortifications, and supply routes.
In the southwestern province of Taiz, government forces and allied Popular Resistance fighters continued raids and counterattacks on strategically important Houthi positions, he added.
Al-Nuzaili said warplanes also carried out concentrated strikes on Houthi troop concentrations, reinforcements, and military positions in the province.
In the provinces of Al-Jawf, Marib and Al-Bayda, as well as southern and southwestern fronts, reconnaissance operations were followed by targeted strikes aimed at preventing infiltration attempts and disrupting Houthi reinforcements, he said.
The operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 336 Houthi commanders and fighters, while 112 military vehicles, pieces of equipment, supply assets and heavy weapons were destroyed or damaged, according to the spokesman.

He said the armed forces would continue targeting Houthi military capabilities while taking precautions to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The military operations come amid renewed fighting between Yemen’s internationally recognized government and the Houthis, who have controlled the capital Sanaa since late 2014.
The Saudi-led coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 to support the internationally recognized government against the Houthis.
Fighting has intensified in recent weeks under the government forces’ “Dawn of Yemen” operation, with both sides reporting attacks across several provinces.
The escalation has also extended into Saudi Arabia, where the Saudi-led coalition has reported intercepting Houthi missiles targeting several regions.
On Friday, the coalition announced the interception and destruction of a Houthi cruise missile launched toward western Saudi Arabia.
A day earlier, coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said air defenses had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis toward the capital, Riyadh.
The Houthis have also claimed attacks against Saudi oil facilities, airports and military installations amid the ongoing escalation.
