Israeli forces raided a Palestinian home in the village of Al-Burj, southwest of Hebron, on Tuesday, forcing its residents to leave before converting the property into a military post, according to local sources.
The house, located in Al-Burj village in the town of Dura, belongs to Palestinian resident Abdul Jalil Khalil Hassan Al-Talahma.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers entered the property, evicted Al-Talahma’s family and subsequently used the residence as a military staging post.
The incident follows similar operations in Hebron last October, when Israeli forces seized Palestinian homes in several neighborhoods, forced residents to evacuate and converted the properties into military barracks and observation posts.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Israeli forces seized at least 16 Palestinian homes between 20th January and 2nd February 2026, converting them into military sites.
OCHA reported that these operations resulted in the temporary displacement of approximately 100 Palestinian families.
The latest incident adds to reported cases of Palestinian residential properties being requisitioned for military use in Hebron and surrounding communities.
