Widow of doctor murdered in Israeli detention demands his body

The wife of martyred Palestinian surgeon Dr. Adnan al-Bursh has launched a campaign demanding that the Israeli occupation return his body after he was murdered in Israeli custody.

The widow of the murdered doctor, Adnan Al-Bursh has called on the International Committee of the red Cross to intervene with the Israeli authorities for the return of his remains.

During the sit-in of the families of prisoners held in Israeli jails in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza, Yasmin Al Bursh said, “The same occupation that negotiated extensively with mediators to retrieve all of its dead is withholding our martyrs — a clear example of the double standards it practices.”

Since his murder, the Israeli occupation have kept the remains of Dr Al Borsh in the ‘cemetery of numbers’

She added, “We call on the Red Cross and international organisations to act urgently so we can bury our slain loved ones in a dignified and humane manner, in accordance with our faith.”
