Four people were injured by debris falling from an intercepted ballistic missile in Riyadh on Wednesday, the Saudi Civil Defense said, Anadolu reports.

The agency said in a statement that the injuries were reported after fragments fell on a residential building in the city of Riyadh.

Four Asian residents were injured in the incident, which also caused limited material damage, it added.

The agency condemned attacks on civilian facilities as “a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.”

Regional escalations continued to rage since Israel and the US have launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing so far around 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
