Rocket fire by Hezbollah has intensified sharply, with Israeli media reporting hundreds of launches per day, including a peak of around 500 rockets in a single day.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Hezbollah has been carrying out sustained rocket attacks targeting both Israeli army forces operating in southern Lebanon and areas inside Israel.
The report said that in recent days, Hezbollah fighters have launched approximately 150 to 200 rockets daily, with around 70% directed at advancing Israeli forces and about 30% crossing into Israeli territory. Most rockets aimed at populated areas are intercepted, according to the newspaper.

On Wednesday, the pace of attacks increased significantly, reaching an estimated 500 launches, with around 100 rockets entering Israeli territory, some of which were intercepted while others landed.
The newspaper noted that Israeli forces under attack are relying on Iron Dome systems, while soldiers take cover inside military vehicles during bombardments. It added that several soldiers have been wounded by shrapnel in recent attacks.
According to the report, Hezbollah fighters employ rapid and mobile launch tactics, firing rockets from deep within the area before quickly relocating — either on foot or by vehicle — to avoid detection and counterstrikes.
