Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has renewed his support for the Palestinian people, calling for continued solidarity with them and urging the world not to remain silent over their suffering.
In a video message published by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on Sunday, the Spanish coach spoke about the humanitarian crisis facing Palestinians, particularly children who have lost their families and homes during Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip.

In the video, shared by UNRWA’s Spanish-language account on X, Guardiola stressed that the victims of the war were not just numbers, but people with names, families and dreams. He warned against becoming accustomed to images of destruction, hunger and fear experienced by Palestinian children.
He also highlighted the importance of continuing to support UNRWA and its role in safeguarding Palestinian refugees’ rights, identity and history, amid the challenges facing its work.
The message follows a series of previous statements by Guardiola, who has used his standing in the world of football to draw attention to Palestinian suffering, criticise Israeli policies and condemn international silence over the war on Gaza.
