Israeli occupation kills two Palestinians in the West Bank

February 10, 2014 at 9:49 am

Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during separate raids in the cities of Jenin and Qalqilya that also wounded seven, including three with serious injuries.

One of the Palestinians was shot at close range after occupation forces raided the home of Jamal Abu Al-Haiga in the West Bank city of Jenin. Abu Al-Haiga is currently a prisoner in an Israeli jail.

The young man who was killed was identified as Nafaa Al-Saedi, aged 23. His cousin Ali al-Saedi was reportedly arrested during the raid after being wounded.

In response to the raid on Al-Haiga’s home, Palestinian youths started throwing stones at the Israeli soldiers, who responded with live ammunition, wounding at least seven more.

Meanwhile, occupation forces in Qalqilya ambushed Saleh Yassin, a 29-year-old Palestinian security officer, while he was on his way home from work. Israeli security forces claim that he fired back; however hospital sources said the young man was shot in the back.

Witnesses reported that after shooting him, the occupation forces left Yassin to bleed to death. They also said that he was not armed when he was shot.
