Hezbollah announces state of alert after Israeli strike

Hezbollah announced state of general alert among its ranks after Israeli strike that killed six of its members in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, the Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.

An Israeli strike killed five members of Hezbollah, including the son of late military commander Imad Mughniyeh. A Lebanese source said that six Iranians were amongst those killed.

According to a Lebanese source, Hezbollah announced a state of general alert along the southern Lebanese borders with Israel.

In a statement, Hezbollah said: “Israeli airplanes targeted a group of Hezbollah members during a walk in Al- Qunaytirah.”

Another source said that Israeli planes had been flying over the Shaba Farms in southern Lebanon.
