Turkish authorities arrested a British woman on Monday in the capital Ankara on suspicion of trying to travel to ISIS-held territory in Syria, the Anadolu Agency reported.

A Turkish official said the woman, identified only as JNH, 22, was apprehended late on Monday during a raid on a bus stop in the capital Ankara and is being held pending deportation hearings.

Earlier this week, Turkish authorities detained three male British teenagers in Istanbul who were attempting to reach Syria to join ISIS, according to police.

Last month, Shamima Begum, Amira Abase both 15 and Kadiza Sultana, 16, fled their homes in the UK to join ISIS’s ranks in Syria.
