Former Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mahdi Akef, 87, has been taken to an unknown location after he was held in Al-Ma’adi Military Hospital, Alamatonline.com reported yesterday.

Sometime ago, Akef was moved from the notorious Al-Aqrab Prison to Al-Ma’adi military Hospital after his health deteriorated.

He has been in prison for about two years over accusations of inciting people to kill those who attacked the Muslim Brotherhood’s headquarters in Cairo.

He has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
