Israeli troops shot 2 Palestinians in Gaza

On Friday, Israeli occupation troops shot dead two Palestinian citizens during clashes which erupted near the Eretz Checkpoint in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said that the Palestinian Yahya Farahat, 24, was shot dead in the clashes with the Israeli troops in the north of Gaza.

He also said that Mahmoud Hmaida, 22, was also killed in the eastern borders of the Gaza city, near Nahal Oz crossing.

Al-Qidra noted that the number of Palestinians wounded during the clashes across the Gaza Strip was 262, including 118 who were shot by live bullets.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health announced the death of Shawqi Obaid, 37, from the refugee camp of Jabalia, in the north of Gaza Strip.

Obaid was wounded last Friday in during protests that took place near Eretz Crossing and remained in the ICU until he was confirmed dead.

Hundreds of Palestinians demonstrated against Israeli violations against Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem. During the demonstrations, they tried to reach the closest points towards the Israelis, but the Israeli troops opened fire at them, killing and wounding the protesters.
