December 1, 2015 at 11:39 am

Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) to stop inciting against Israel, Sawa news agency reported yesterday.

He called on the PA to stop adopting the “untrue” narratives about the killing of Palestinians which show that Israeli soldiers execute Palestinians.

Ya’alon’s remarks came during his visit to the army recruitment centre in Tel Hashomir, where he added that the “popular uprising” in the occupied West Bank had not been contained, noting that the army had been using all means to deter it.

He announced that his forces are ready to face any escalation in the West Bank as a result of the two month long uprising which is ongoing.

Regarding the Russian S-400 missile system which has recently been stationed in the region, Ya’alon said that it does not pose any danger to Israeli planes or put any restrictions on the freedom of flights.

He noted that there is a kind of Israeli-Russian understanding regarding this matter.
