15 Palestinian women from Hebron arrested since October

Israel has arrested 15 Palestinian women have been arrested in Hebron since the start of the current intifada, Director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club in Hebron Amjad Al-Najjar said yesterday.

This week, Israeli forces arrested four females from different areas in the city, including Dalal Al-Qomeeri, 23, who was arrested yesterday.

According to Al-Najjar, most of the females were arrested after it was claimed that they were carrying knives and planning to stab Israelis.

Israeli forces have been experiencing a “state of hysteria” while carrying out their crimes in the occupied Palestinian city, he explained.

Al-Najjar called on international peacekeepers in the city to carry out their role in protecting Palestinians from the Israeli forces and to disclose the false Israeli claims regarding alleged stabbing attempts.

Thirteen out of the 15 women are being held in the Hasharon and Al-Damon prisons, while two are in Israeli hospitals, including minor Lama Al-Bakri.
