Daesh has seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor over the past two days, following an attack against Syrian regime positions, according to Anadolu news agency.

Media activist Abu Mustafa Albokmale told Anadolu that Daesh had seized Russian anti-aircraft missiles, as well as weapons and ammunition including tanks, armoured vehicles, heavy machine guns and anti-tank missiles from the regime warehouses in the areas of Ayyash, Tal al- Ethaa and Ahadjif, in the west of Deir ez-Zor.

Albokmale explained that the regime forces had abandoned the weapons instead of destroying them.
