UN follows up on Iran’s ballistic tests

The UN is following up on Iran’s ballistic tests which were disclosed yesterday, the official spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon revealed yesterday.

In a press conference held in New York, Stephane Dujarric said: “It is important that Iran commits to its international obligations in this regard.”

“We followed up the reports about this and we think that the decision is bound to the UN Security Council to take the appropriate measures.”

Iran’s official news agency reported that Tehran had launched new tests for ballistic missiles.

According to the Anadolu Agency, the news agency said that the tests aim to show the “comprehensive readiness of the Islamic Republic for any threat against the revolution, the ruling regime and the sovereignty of the country.”
