PA accuses Israel of systematic armed robbery against the Palestinians

The Palestinian Authority (PA) foreign ministry has accused Israel of carrying out systematic armed robbery against Palestinian land and property.

The ministry reiterated in a statement on Thursday its demands for the international community to provide international protection for the Palestinian people and to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards Palestinian suffering.

The statement stressed on the need for the international community to take “serious actions in line with international law to ensure international support for the French proposal and the Palestinian leadership”.

The ministry called on the international community to issue binding resolutions through the UN Security Council to stop Israeli settlement activities.

“The Israeli occupation has intensified its crimes and war against the Palestinian people in parallel with international silence and expressions of timid condemnation,” the statement said.

It criticised the taking over of Palestinian properties by settler groups in the the old city of Jerusalem. The ministry explained that the Israeli government is misleading the international community by pretending to clear settler outposts.
