Al-Khatib: PA too busy spoiling elections to deal with Israeli raids on Al-Aqsa

Deputy Chief of the Islamic Movement in Israel, Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Jordan’s lack of action following Israel’s violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Resalah newspaper reported yesterday.

“The silence of the PA and Jordan encourages the Israeli aggressions on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the excavations under its foundations,” Al-Khatib said. “This continues because the Palestinians and the Arabs do not pay attention to their central issue.”

“The Israeli occupation exploits the deteriorated situation in the Arab world and escalates its aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

“The PA is busy working out how to spoil and municipal elections and at the same time it turns its back to the daily Israeli raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Al-Khatib said.

The PA security cooperation with Israel is one of the main factors that undermine the Palestinian deterrence of Israeli violations against worshippers and the mosque.
