‘Egypt going after Brotherhood members in Sudan’

October 27, 2016 at 12:34 pm

Egyptian security services have been working with their counterparts in neighbouring Sudan to capture Muslim Brotherhood members who fled Egypt, the UAE’s 24.ae has claimed.

According to the website, the Brotherhood members who fled to Sudan are training to carry out hostilities to attack Egypt.

Egypt has sent a list of names of Muslim Brotherhood members it says have fled to Sudan. It has also requested Sudan hand over a senior member of Egypt’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, Ezz Eldeen Dwedar, and followers of who they said founded the group’s military wing, Mohamed Kamal, the news site said.

Sudan has carried out a campaign to capture members of the group over the past couple of days. Egypt has also closed a number of crossings used by members of the group to move between the two countries.
