UAE confirms support for Egypt

United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is reported to have stressed his country’s support for Egypt economically and politically during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al- Sisi in Cairo.

Government sources, who spoke on the sidelines of the UAE-Egyptian summit, said Abu Dhabi views Egypt a pillar of stability and safety in the Middle East and is keen to further strengthen its relations with Cairo on various political and economic levels.

The sources added that Al Nahyan’s visit is the third to Cairo during the past six months to channel more UAE investments into the Egyptian economy.

The summit will discuss ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries including political, economic and developmental fields.
