December 9, 2016 at 8:30 pm

The father of an Emirati student who was shot by a police officer in Ohio has decided to come out and address the press in regards to the tragic death of his son, Al-Arabiya reported.

Nasser Alameri, the father of Saif Nasser Mubarak Alameri, has branded the death as “mysterious” adding that he and Saif’s brother are preparing to go to the United States to investigate the exact events that led to his son’s death.

“My son was a ‘grade A’ student. He got his law Bachelor’s degree at the UAE University, and travelled in a Mission with ADNOC Company to pursue his master’s in Sharia law at the United States. He was due to finish it in May next year, then return to the UAE for his national service,” Nasser said.

“Saif was my rock, I relied on him for everything. He was a practicing Muslim and an amazing person. He paid close attention to his mother and his brothers. We spoke two days before the incident, he seemed very normal,” he added.

Saif Nasser Mubarak Alameri was shot by an Ohio police officer on 4 December after he lost control of his car for unknown reasons and landed in the woods nearby.
