A drone strike, which was most likely conducted by US forces late on Tuesday, has allegedly killed three Al-Qaeda suspects, Lebanon's the Daily Star reported.
The drone targeted a vehicle that the three suspected terrorists were in in the southern province of Shabwa.
Many pockets within southern Yemen have been considered to be hubs for Al-Qaeda over the past decade.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), which is the Yemeni branch of the group, is considered to be the most dangerous branch of the militant group in the world.
Yemen, which is the Arab world's poorest country, has been wracked by chaos since late 2014, when the Houthi group overran its capital city Sana'a and other parts of the country in a coup.
