Residents of Saudi’s Najran region have been warned of the risk of landmines being washed into the province from Yemen.

The area’s Prince, Jalawi bin Abdulaziz Bin Masaad, said that there is a likelihood that the floods which have hit the kingdom could wash landmines that have been planted on the Saudi-Yemeni border by the Houthi and Saleh militia forces into the province, putting civilians at risk. He stressed the importance of landmine awareness to ensure the safety of residents.
