Libya’s Haftar holds talks with UK delegation

Commanding General of the Libyan National Army of the parliament based in Tobruk, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, has received a senior delegation from the UK’s House of Commons at the headquarters of the General Command of the Army.

Information Office Director of the General Command of Armed forces, Khalifa Al-Obeidi, said Haftar received a senior delegation from the British House of Commons, accompanied by Parliament Deputy Speaker, Ali Qatrani, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Libyan interim government, Mohammed Al-Dairi.

Al-Obeidi gave no further details.

President of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh Issa, and Al-Dairi received the delegation the day before.

Issa discussed with the delegation the latest developments in the political scene in Libya as well as the lifting of the arms embargo on the Libyan National Army which is fighting terrorism in all parts of Libya.
