Morocco and France discuss defence cooperation

Moroccan Minister-Delegate for National Defence Abdel-Latif Loudiyi held discussions on Friday with a senior official from the French Ministry of Defence. Loudiyi met with Jean-Paul Bodin, the Secretary General of Administration at the ministry, in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

The discussions included the exchange of experiences and expertise, as well as administrative and financial updates. The two officials also expressed their consent to defence cooperation, reflecting the friendly nature and historical credibility of the relationship between Morocco and France.

According to one report, the officials reviewed the social arrangements made for Moroccan soldiers who fought with the French army. It pointed out that their meeting was the second of its kind in the space of a week.

On Monday, the general inspector of the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces, Abed Al-Fattah Al-Warraq, also discussed with the chief of staff of the French ground forces ways of reinforcing cooperation between their respective armed forces.
