At the end of the joint Saudi-Sudanese military drills, Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir said yesterday that the relationship between the two countries has developed, Thenewkhalij.org reported.
The joint drills started on 29 March in the city of Merowe, in the north of Khartoum, and ended on Sunday. “This exercise is an indication on the development of the relationship between Sudan and Saudi Arabia,” Al-Bashir said.
According to Thenewkhalij.org, the exercise aimed to improve techniques and develop cooperation between the two countries.

“The armed Sudanese forces played a pivotal role in improving the relationship with Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf states,” Al-Bashir said.
Sudan’s security is not separate from the security of other countries in the region and this is the reason why we sought to build security and military cooperation with our neighbours.
A Sudanese officer said that a number of the Saudi pilots are going to perform an aerial show in Khartoum between 10-12 April.
