April 12, 2017 at 2:32 pm

Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) and former Moroccan Prime Minister, Abdelilah Benkirane, said that although the political status of his party is not good it has a good structure, Quds Press reported.

“The Justice and Development Party has chosen the path of moderation, which is a long and difficult road, in which a step can only be achieved with difficulty, but the important thing is to continue,” Benkirane said during a gathering for the Central Committee for the Justice and Development Youth.

As the new Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Eddine El-Othmani is negotiating to form his cabinet, the Moroccan media is busy discussing the Justice and Development Party, saying the PJD has offered its coalition partners many concessions.

Critics of El-Othmani’s government say he has accepted to have two parties that had previously refused to join the cabinet, in reference to the Socialist Union and Constitutional Union.

Many PJD MPs have criticised El-Othmani’s cabinet formation saying their party is the losing the most.

Critics say the party has accepted less strategically important ministries despite winning the parliamentary election.
