Iran deploys 160,000 security personnel to secure presidential elections

Iran’s Interior Minister, Abdul Reza Rahmani Fazli said yesterday that 160,000 security personnel will be deployed to secure the election process in 63,000 polling stations under the supervision of 71,000 observers for the presidential elections due to take place tomorrow.

At a press conference in Tehran, Fazli said the presidential campaigns will end today.

More than 56 million registered voters will vote in the presidential election on Friday.
