Qatar to sign contracts worth $12m for new projects in Gaza

The Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip announced yesterday that Ambassador Mohamed Al-Imadi, who arrived in Gaza on Tuesday evening, would sign contracts worth $12 million for new projects in Gaza.

The statement revealed that the most important new projects are the contracts for building seven new residential buildings in the new Qatari built urban development named after former Qatari leader Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

According to the statement, the Qatari project will also build the headquarters of the Committee and a residence for the ambassador.

In addition, several contracts for infrastructure projects would be signed during Al-Imadi’s visit to Gaza.

During his visit, which is planned to last for more than a week, Al-Imadi, his deputy Khalid Al-Hardan and the accompanying delegation will tour the projects and inaugurate some of them.
