One Palestinian was killed and six others were wounded after Israeli forces shot at demonstrators on the border with Gaza yesterday.

Dr Ashraf Al-Qidra, Gaza’s Ministry of Health spokesperson, identified the Palestinian who was killed as 25-year-old Fadi Al-Najjar from Khuza’a, Khan Yunis. He also reported that six other Palestinians were wounded, two by live ammunition, and the other four by gas bombs. Two others had fainted and two suffered minor burns in Jabaliya.

Al-Najjar was transported to the Nasser Hospital morgue in Khan Yunis, where dozens of family and friends went to pay their respects amid calls for more troops on the borders and for more marches to break the siege.

The eastern border in Gaza has experienced almost daily clashes with occupation forces in protest against the Israeli siege on Gaza.
