Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain and others have applied a land and air siege on Qatar over tensions on foreign policy.

In a Foreign Ministry statement, Saudi Arabia accused Doha of sheltering and backing terrorist groups, promoting terrorist groups in the media, and supporting Houthi militia in Yemen. Doha denies the accusations.

Eight countries have now severed ties with Doha including the Maldives, Mauritania and Yemen.
