Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan, the former chief of police of Dubai, tweeted messages of praise for Qatari Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani on Thursday.
“Tamim leads the front which rejects to yielding to the wicked Muslim Brotherhood and the terrorist groups. Salute to Tamim and those who stand with him, be they men, women or youth,” Khalfan wrote in one post.

He later added: “Salute to Sheikh Tamim from my heart over his stance which was brought to my attention a while ago.”

Khalfan has previously attacked Qatar on social media on numerous occasions.
The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt have led a regional boycott of the small Gulf state accusing it of supporting terrorism. Charges Doha vehemently denies.

Following the announcement of the severing of relations, the UAE threatened anyone who airs sympathy with Qatar with jail terms of up to 15 years and fines which could amount to $13,500.
An Emirati man has already been arrested after he published a video on social media airing his support Qatar.
