Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdulaziz yesterday met with Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir in his residence in the Moroccan city of Tangier.

“During the reception, they exchanged brotherly conversations and reviewed relations between the two countries,” the Saudi Press Agency said, without giving further details.

King Salman has been on vacation in Tangier since 24 July.

Al-Bashir arrived late on Thursday for a visit at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.

Earlier, the official Sudan News Agency reported that “Al-Bashir’s visit is private and will take a few days”.

In mid-June, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had begun organising Al-Bashir’s visit to Morocco.

In May, King Mohammed VI invited Al-Bashir to visit Morocco before announcing a week-long visit to Sudan to discuss relations between the two countries, in addition to regional and international issues.
