Houthis: US is obstructing Yemen peace

The head of the Houthi’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee claimed the United States is obstructing dialogue on the war in Yemen, the local news agency Saba News reported.

US aggression in Yemen is working to obstruct all means to obstruct dialogue and prevent the cessation of war, said Mohamed Ali al-Houthi.

The group launched a campaign called “America is killing the Yemeni people” on Wednesday due to US’ involvement in the conflict in the country, Al-Houthi said, adding that it has received popular support among the organisation’s supporters.

The Houthi armed group deem the United States as an enemy and aggressor in the Yemen civil war. US military and special operations teams have been operating in Yemen since 2002, executing targeted drone strikes and night raids which have claimed the lives of hundreds of Yemenis.
