Hamas is preparing to receive a delegation from the Palestinian government in the West Bank, scheduled to arrive today.

This comes after the Palestinian cabinet decided Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah’s government will hold its meeting in the Gaza Strip. Banners have been prepared and renovations are underway.

A few days ago, a delegation from the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) arrived in Gaza from Ramallah, along with members of the security services.

An Egyptian delegation entered Gaza via the Erez crossing yesterday. The delegation included the Egyptian ambassador to the occupied Palestinian territories, the Egyptian ambassador to Israel, Hazem Khairat, Major General Hammam Abu Zeid and Major General Sameh Kamel.

This delegation will serve as supervisors and observers of the government’s hand over process.

The Egyptian delegation met with the head of Hamas’ Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh  at his home, but have not made any new statements.
