The Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Ghanim Bin Shaheen Al- Ghanem yesterday inaugurated Qatar’s Military Attache headquarters in Kuwait, Doha announced in a statement.

“The inauguration reflects the common interests and prospects for cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields, especially in the field of defence and military cooperation,” the statement by the Ministry of Defence said.

“The attaché is a bridge for communication and fruitful cooperation between the Qatari armed forces and the leadership of the Kuwaiti army, and a tool to strengthen the brotherly bonds by providing the best educational opportunities and training courses for military students,” he added.

“The new headquarters and its potentials are evidence of the development of defence relations between the State of Qatar and Kuwait,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nawaf Bin Mubarak Bin Saif Al Thani, director of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence.

This comes within the framework of the development of the military and defence attaché system in the Ministry of Defence, he added.
