British delegation visits An-Najah National University

British Consul General, Philip Hall OBE and an accompanying delegation visited An- Najah National University to discuss developing relations with the university in the academic field.

The Consul General was received Dr. Maher Al-Natsheh, Acting President of the University, and Dr. Khairia Rasas, Vice President for International Relations.

Dr. Al- Natsheh thanked the Consul General for his visit and the British Consulate General in Jerusalem efforts in opening academic exchanges opportunities between An-Najah National University and many distinguished British universities.

Dr. Natsheh briefed the delegation about the University including academic programs and the university’s service to the Palestinian community and the public and private sectors through its various scientific centers.

Dr. Natsheh also discussed the political and economic obstacles facing higher education in Palestine in general and the university in particular including lack of financial resources.

Mr. Hall expressed his admiration for the achievements of An-Najah National University in the academic field as well as his readiness to cooperate with the university in the academic field through the British Consulate and the British Council.
