The first chamber of Egypt’s Administrative Court of Justice, headed by Counsellor Bakhit Ismail, the Vice-President of the State Council, has requested a legal opinion from the country’s law commission on a case filed by lawyer Samir Sabir calling for the expulsion of Sudan’s Ambassador from Egypt, Al-Watan news outlet has reported.
The lawsuit is also against both the President of the Republic of Sudan, Omar Al-Bashir, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Ghandour, for “conspiring with Turkey and Qatar to attack Egypt.”

The case lawyer claims that Egypt exposed the plot following the signing of an agreement last December between Sudan and Turkey to restore the Red Sea port of Suakin and build a dry dock.
The case was filed a day after Sudan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim, returned to Cairo after a two-month absence.
