An Egyptian security delegation based in Gaza to monitor the implementation of the Palestinian reconciliation agreement left the enclave on Friday to go to the occupied West Bank to meet Fatah and Palestinian Authority officials, Quds Press has reported.

Local sources said that the delegation, led by Sameh Nabeel, who is in charge of the Palestinian issue in the Egyptian intelligence service, left the Gaza Strip through the Israeli-controlled Erez Crossing. The delegation is expected to return to the Gaza Strip on Sunday or Monday.

The agenda of the planned meetings includes the implementation of the terms of the reconciliation deal reached in Cairo on 12 October last year. Before leaving for the West Bank, the group had several meetings with Hamas officials and leaders of other Palestinian factions.
