Jordanian King Abdullah II said that the issue of Jerusalem must be resolved as part of the final status issues and on the basis of the two-state solution, Shehab.ps reported yesterday.

During a series of meetings he held with US officials from Congress and the Senate, King Abdullah stressed that solving the Palestinian issue would achieve safety and security in the Middle East.

He also stressed the importance of reviving the Israeli-Palestinian peace process based on the two-state solution and the resolutions of the international legitimacy that lead to establishing a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
