Israel arrested 651 Palestinian children since start of 2018

Israeli occupation forces have arrested 3,533 Palestinians from the occupied territories since the beginning of 2018, official statics by several Palestinian human rights organisations have showed.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Addameer – Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights, the Israeli arrests included 651 children, 63 women and four journalists.

During the past month, the rights organisations pointed out, occupation forces arrested 449 Palestinians, including 117 Jerusalemites.

According to rights groups, there are about 6,500 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails, including 54 females, 350 children, 430 under administrative detention and 1,800 patients.
