The “Nation State law” passed by the Israeli Knesset yesterday legitimises Israel’s racism and targets the existence of Palestinians and their historic right to their land, Hamas said yesterday.

Fawzi Barhoum said in a brief press statement that “these extremist laws and decisions would not have been made if there was not regional and international silence regarding the occupation’s crimes and violations, as well as the unlimited US support for the Israeli extremist and racist policies.”

“All these decisions and invalid laws will not pass and will not change the reality and the Palestinian people will continue to have the right and sovereignty over this land,” he added.

Barhoum stressed that these Israeli policies require the Palestinian people to be united and strong and to reach an agreement on a national strategy to protect the people and defend their rights.

He called on Arab and Islamic countries as well as the international community to curb the Israeli practices and hold Tel Aviv accountable for its systematic violations against the Palestinian people and international laws.
