Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah called for Arab and international support for President Mahmoud Abbas in his position against “American and Israeli dictations.”
In a speech he gave in commemoration of an Egyptian national day, Hamdallah said that Palestinians are “betting on Egypt and on the influential moves made by its president Abdel Fattah Ali Sisi to save Jerusalem and confront attempts to change its reality and distort its identity.”
The Palestinian Prime Minister also said that he appreciates Egypt’s efforts to mediate reconciliation between Palestinian factions in addition to the Egyptian support for Gaza’s reconstruction.
