An Israeli military court extended the detention of four Palestinian journalists for seven days on the pretext of completing an investigation.

In a brief statement, the non-governmental Palestinian Society Prisoner’s Club (PPSMO) stated that four journalists, namely Alaa Al-Rimawi, Mohammed Alwan, Qutaiba Hamdan and Hassani Anjas, have been arrested for seven days under the pretext of completing the investigation.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army arrested four journalists in the city of Ramallah, in the West Bank, without disclosing the charges brought against them.

Israeli authorities arrested 21 Palestinian journalists, and five of them were arrested this week.
