Head of Hamas' Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said that the movement's delegation, which arrived in Gaza last week, returned to Cairo with full information about all the issues surrounding the Palestinian issue, the Safa news agency reported yesterday.
Haniyeh said that Hamas had held meetings over a period of five days and discussed all the developments related to the Palestinian cause.
"Our delegation will return to Cairo with a complete vision about the reconciliation, breaking the siege, the truce, resisting the occupation and rebuilding the Palestinian agenda based on strong bases," he said.
"We discussed the Cairo talks, talks with the UN, talks with Qatar and other countries… We took a number of decisions" that are not only related to Hamas but to all the national issues, he explained.
Hamas' chief stressed that the "nature of the ongoing conspiracies makes it difficult to face them alone, but with a united Palestinian front, we can ruin these conspiracies."
Concluding his speech, he said that the "symbolic return of Hamas leaders in exile reiterates the right of return and their return to Gaza is a prelude to the return to Jerusalem, the West Bank and occupied Palestine."
