The Israeli military court in Ofer Prison yesterday released four Palestinian journalists on bail, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC) said.

In a statement, the PPC said the journalists are Alaa Al-Rimawi, Mohammed Alwan, Qutaiba Hamdan and Hassani Anjas. They were ordered to pay 5,000 shekels ($1,365) in bail each.

The military prosecution requested they be released today to allow it time to look in to whether it can appeal against the decision.

There are 24 Palestinian journalists being held in Israel’s jails, a number are being held under administrative detention – detention without charge or trial.
