Democratic Front denounces ‘ignorant’ campaign against it

Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) senior leader Tayseer Khalid denounced the campaign of distortion being waged against his organisation by the Palestinian Authority, Safa reported yesterday.

Khalid said that the campaign causes “anger against the DFLP, its leadership and its history of resistance.”

On social media, Khalid wrote: “The poison which was broadcasted on Palestine TV regarding the DFLP reflects unlimited ignorance, not only regarding the DFLP alone, but also regarding the whole Palestinian national history.”

“Is this the political system that we had a dream to see,” he wondered. “It there any hope to recognise this mistake and correct it?”

Khalid said that the only way to correct this and avoid making such a mistake is to form a National Broadcasting Authority and National Administration Council to run the Palestinian media, noting he would suggest this during the upcoming PLO Executive Committee meeting.
