Head of Hamas Political Bureau in Gaza Yahya Al-Sinwar said he was sorry that Palestinian officials cooperated with the Israeli Shin Bet to undermine Palestinian reconciliation, Safanews agency reported yesterday.

During a meeting with youngPalestinians in Gaza Al-Sinwar revealed that several countries have attempted to undermine Palestinian reconciliation.

He added: “We were fought in order not to succeed in achieving reconciliation and I am sorry that the division still exists.”

He continued: “We recognised that the detonation of the vehicle of the chief of the Palestinian security services Tawfiq Abu-Naim in Gaza aimed to damage reconciliation, but we ignored it and continued our way in spite of obstacles and hardships.”

Al-Sinwar said that “we have never, and will never, lose hope,” noting there are two visions for reconciliation: “real partnership without any exceptions or a winner and the defeated.”
