The 16th Palestinians in Europe Conference began yesterday in the German capital of Berlin. Numerous Palestinian and Arab institutions participated, as well as Palestinians who reside across Europe.

“The aim of the forum is to discuss the dangers facing the Palestinian issue and to come up with practical mechanisms to confront those threats and protect the Palestinian rights, most importantly, the right of return,” the event’s organisers told Alaraby 21.

The Palestinian journalist Jamal Ryan told the London based agency that his participation in the forum came “under difficult circumstances” for Palestine, adding that the event aims also to “pressure the Arab regimes that reject projects to resettle Palestinian refugees”.
