7 Palestinians killed in Gaza protests and 112 injured

Israel killed seven Palestinian protesters and wounded 252 others in the Gaza Strip on Friday, Palestinian medical sources have said.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza in a statement named Ahmad Al-Taweel, Mohammad Ismail, Tamer Abu-Armanah, Abdullah Al-Daghma and Mohammad Abbas as among the dead. Also killed were 18-year-old Afifi Afifi and 17-year-old Ahmad Abu-Naim.

The statement added that the wounded included 50 children, ten women, two paramedics and two journalists.

Today’s casualties bring the death toll since the start of the Great March of Return to more than 200 and the number of wounded to more than 21,500.

Since 30 March, Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip have been protesting against the 12-year-old Israeli siege imposed on the enclave, as well as to reinforce the right of return for the Palestinian refugees whose homes were occupied during the Nakba of 1948.
