Palestinian Authority (PA) government yesterday condemned the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip against its wishes, Quds Press reported.

PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah said that the aid sent to Gaza through by the international community “will not save the Gaza residents from their severe suffering”.

“This aid will push Hamas to stick tightly to its power so that it will never respond to any of the initiatives aiming to end the internal division and achieve the real national reconciliation.”

He also said that the Israeli attempts to cut the PA’s taxes and send the money to Gaza residents through international mediators is a “form of piracy” and “reinforces the separation of the Gaza Strip from the West Bank”.
